Two Arguments Against Legalizing Gay Marriage (and why I’m ignoring them)

A friend recently issued a challenge, asking for one valid argument against gay marriage. I offered two, and then explained why I'm not griping about Prop 8 and DOMA being overturned.

Spite Joey

An unfortunate part of our human nature is, once we've reached a conclusion about someone or something, we tend to seek out evidence to support that conclusion. We easily accept the "reminders" to harbor bad feelings towards someone, but are skeptical toward the things that might dampen that negativity.

The Best Place to Worship

My preferred worship location is on a hill before a dramatic sunset that transforms me into a faceless silhouette with my arms lifted high to the heavens. But that’s just me.

A Cry At Night

Late one Christmas night, less than two months before his 3rd birthday, I was overcome with emotion and a strong sadness over Hunter’s condition. The feeling was so strong that it brought me to uncontrollable tears, kept me awake, and ultimately lead me to write the following.

Trolling Amazon

Here are a few comical reviews I have written for products on Amazon. These reviews can still be viewed on Amazon. I was born with a rare disorder that prevents me from having any basic form of parental intuition. As a result, when my infant began crying, I had no way of determining whether it was due to the fact that I hadn't fed him in the last 12 hours, the fact that he'd been carrying a full diaper around for the past three days (the diaper box SAYS "for 15 lbs," but don't believe it!), or if he was simply bothered by our doomed economy as a result of Obama's socialist agenda.
