Fisher-Price Toy Phone converted to an awesome smartphone– using my voice!

With a fairly steady flow of voice-over requests, I’ve been able to take part in some very unique projects. One of my all-time favorites involves this hack of a classic Fisher Price Talking Chatter Telephone. This classic toy was re-released after it made an appearance in 2010’s Toy Story 3, with the new feature of having a speaker that played clips from the movie.

Brilliant programmer Grant Gibson bought one of these, took it apart, and modified it to connect to wifi and perform a few useful information-gathering tasks, such as movie reviews, weather reports, and more… with my voice providing the main menu options! Now I kind of want one!

Check out his in-depth blog post about it.
